Dr. Paul Perito was honored to have received a Certificate of Appreciation from the board overseeing the Video Journal of Sexual Medicine (VJSM). As Dr. Perito’s tenure on the editorial board came to a close, his contributions and efforts to maintain the journal’s high standards as an educational tool for surgeons and medical professionals were recognized by Drs. Faysal Yafi, Virag Freyer, and David Barham.
“In-depth video footage of surgical and medical procedures is one of the best ways to disseminate knowledge across geographic and political boundaries. You can’t always travel to be in the operating room to learn, so the videos shown on VJSM are the next best thing,” Dr. Perito said.
“It’s great to be recognized, but better to have contributed to VJSM’s mission to keep knowledge and medical science in our field moving forward.”
Dr. Perito intends to proudly display the certificate at his Miami clinic, Perito Urology.
